Cupcake Bakery Mystery #4

July 2012

It may be summertime, but sales at Fairy Tale Cupcakes are below zero–and owners Melanie Cooper and Angie DeLaura are willing to try anything to heat things up. So when local legend Slim Hazard offers them the chance to sell cupcakes at the annual Juniper Pass rodeo, they’re determined to rope in a pretty payday!

My thoughts:

Im a big fan of “food” cozy mysteries, and the Cupcake Bakery Mystery series is one of my all time favorites!  With delightful characters and funny dialogue, this is one series that you are sure to enjoy!   In “Red Velvet Revenge”, Angie, Mel and their Staff from their Cupcake Store are invited to go to a Rodeo to be one of the Food Vendors.  While they are there, they meet more of the Family that runs the Rodeo as they sell their Cupcakes and Cake Pops to the local crowd.  When someone is found dead,  Angie and Mel try to help find out who did it while at the same time…keeping busy with their new Cupcake Van.  I thought that Slim and Tammy Hazard were a cute couple and they were very helpful to Angie and Mel when they needed to borrow a kitchen during the Rodeo…

One of my favorite sentences from this book  ~ Mel knew the minute their taste buds had signaled to their brains that their mouths were full of yummy goodness as identical smiles of joy spread across their faces.

  1. I love mysteries and I honestly must say I had never heard of the cozy mystery genre until your blog. Now I’m learning there are Food Cozy Mysteries and I feel like I’ve been living under a rock. I am glad I have been enlightened! I look forward to reading these new finds! So glad you shared your review at The Shady Porch! I hope to see you this week too! Have a great day. D@TheShadyPorch
