Review – Iced Chiffon by Duffy Brown

Iced Chiffon

Consignment Shop Mysteries #1 by Duffy Brown

There’s always something to gossip about in Savannah, Georgia, and Reagan Summerside always seems to be in the middle of it. She’s busy enough running her consignment shop, the Prissy Fox, with her vivacious auntie, KiKi, but now the gossip–and the sales–are about to pick up, after a gruesome discovery…

This is such a cute cozy mystery!  It’s set in Savannah, Georgia with lots of Southern flair and personality!  I’ve been reading this book on my nook ( and I’m not quite done..but just had to share some info about it! )  =D   Reagan has just opened a Consignment store in her home…(she recently went through a divorce and she had some bills to pay,).. she loves her home and wants to continue living there..  But her challenges are getting more complex, when she helps to solve a Murder.  I find her Aunt Kiki really charming (Kiki’s quotes from Cher are so cute! )   If you like books about the South, be sure and pick this one up!

I haven’t been to Savannah, but it’s one of hubby’s most favorite cities. I’d like to read the book just to get a better feel for it from a ‘people perspective.’ 🙂

I think I know Savannah better than Cincinnati where I live. If you get a chance to visit please do. Stop at Zunzies for a Conquistado sandwich, Jens and Friends for a martini and Leopold’s for ice cream…Old Black Magic is to die for.

  4. Dear Melissa I am so ashamed to say that I haven’t read a book in 5 years!!!oh yeah…since I had my son I really have no Me time to sit and enjoy a good reading…But…the good news are he is going to K this year and even though it will break my heart not to have my little companion I will have more time to perhaps dedicate an hour or so (if I can put my book down) for a good readin! This one sound very interesting! Hugs, Lizy
